There are many choices that a person must make during life, but one choice will make the largest difference in the amount of money you earn during a lifetime. That decision is to complete your education.
The option of getting a job out of high school to earn money before attending college may cost you more than you?re willing to pay; many who decide to put off an education, are never able to get back to the place where they have the freedom to attend college.
If you go from college directly to high school, you are more likely to finish your undergraduate degree. College and high school are completely different and many students find the change to be refreshing. They love being treated as an adult rather than being treated as a child. College may be just the break that you need from school.
If you put off attending college, you develop so many responsibilities that it is often difficult to return to college. You are often unable to save much money on the minimum wage jobs that are offered to you and you begin to have bills that are due every month. Sometimes you begin a family and have responsibilities there that do not allow you to get back and complete your education.
On the other hand, if the same high school student had attended colleges directly, he or she may have been awarded scholarships that are much harder to get the longer you are out of high school. He or she could have worked part time jobs to make ends meet and may have qualified for grants or loans to finish paying for an education.
In a mere four years, the undergraduate degree is earned and you are ready to find a first job. While the student may have some student debt form the years, payback of those loans can be set to be income sensitive.
His first year out of college, he may find a job where he earns two to three times minimum wage. Within three to four years, he will have made as much money as the person that went to work directly out of high school, but now his potential to earn money is unlimited. College is a short sacrifice for great earning potential and with the internet connecting global markets, the possibilities to earn money is unlimited.
