Crucial Warning Signs On Over Fatigue Of Adrenal Glands

The endocrine system in our bodies is a crucial part of our existence as living, changing beings. Each gland, including the adrenal gland, controls so many functions within our body, organs, and cells, that the loss or break down of their integrity would mean the end of us almost instantly. Over stimulation can cause a severe cycle of problems in the production of hormones from the adrenal glands, and cause a rapid decline in quality of life of which most people don’t understand the cause.

The adrenal gland functions from three sections of its entirety; the upper section focuses on the gland’s home in the kidney by aided in acid filtering to the urine, protection from disorders, and blood pressure (the one responsible for the infamous ‘adrenaline rush’). The middle section of the gland is focused on handling the chemical stimulants of glucose and other stimuli. Finally, the lowest layer is responsible for both gender’s libido levels and the effects of puberty on hair and related sweat glands.

The general name for the hormones of the adrenal gland involved with glucose processing and levels maintenance is glucocorticoids. These unique hormones do more than just handle sugar, because they also serve to decrease inflammation, create energy for the cells in the body to use, and lower immune system reactions as needed. When the creation of these hormones is out of balance by exceeding normal levels, or falling short of them, the entire body will feel the strain of weight gain, energy loss, and depression.

One of the most common causes of adrenal gland fatigue are the stimulants many people consume in their daily lives, unaware of the damage they are consistently causing to themselves. Anything with high levels of caffeine or sugar are atypical villains to the adrenal gland on a routine basis, as the gland reacts with hormones in a rush to handle all of the incoming chemicals that need breaking down. Unfortunately, if the stimulants are introduced too often, the gland’s ability to react will begin to diminish.

The long term damage of constant adrenal gland abuse is the eventual wearing down of the gland’s ability to produce the appropriate hormones at all. Their absence can cause obesity coupled with loss of motivation due to the sudden loss of appropriate sugar breakdown, instead the body stores all of it, and never puts any toward energy creation. It also causes painful inflammation of body parts to remain in agonizing condition, as the glucocorticoids are responsible for anti-inflammatory soothing.

When a large amount of coffee, sweets, or any other item highly concentrated in sugar is consumed, an opposite reaction to the gland’s long term effect occurs. The hormones that respond to the need for chemical break down are also one of the most efficient immune depressors in the body. These same hormones, that when lacking can cause such awful losses of energy, are used purposefully in overdose for patients with transplant organs to force their body’s immune system into submission. This means that during a sugar rush, the body is far more susceptible to infections and disease.

The most recommended course of action for amending the damage to these important glands is a dietary change. For a person whose systems are still functioning, and body chemical levels have not hit critical, improvements in food may be all one needs to heal themselves of many issues. Healthy fats, protein, complex carbohydrates, and antioxidants help support the adrenal glands in returning to proper homeostasis and maintaining it for the remainder of a person’s life.

Every problem caused to the body by consistently poor food choices can be prevented with the knowledge to read the labels of the food the person plans to ingest, and the overall sum of stimulants consumed over the days or weeks. Researching into the food that one buys, and making conscientious choices about what is healthy for their bodies, humans can maintain healthy adrenal glands, and therefore, a crucial piece of a vital system.
