Good Cleansing Skin Care is Easier Than You Think
I wanted to write this article about cleansing skin care solutions, because I have seen some skin cleansing routines that are counter-productive, to say the least. If you arent careful, you could cause damage that will hasten the signs of aging, making you look older, before your time. Heres a safe and gentle approach.
Good skin care begins in the shower. When you look at your shampoos and body washes, you will find that this, in addition to the impurities that are present in your water supply can be quite significant. You may be looking at upwards of several hundred impurities that might be influencing the health of your skin and it is up to you to keep that number down!
While there are definitely some environmental toxins that you can’t get away from, you’ll find that many of them can be avoided with a good shower head filter. That’s your first step and it can help a lot!
Similarly, remember that anti bacterial soap is not necessarily something that you want in your bathroom. Triclosan is the antibacterial agent that is found in most body washes and soaps and it is usually considered to be bad for the environment and bad for your health. Instead, look for natural antibacterial agents like active manuka honey.
When you want to make sure that you are taking good care of your skin, look through your personal care products for things like parabens, petrochemicals and fragrances. These are not going to help your skin, in fact they will do just the opposite. Look instead for products that include manuka honey, tea tree oil, orange oil and other things that will let you get clean without using harsh cleansers.
Stay away from exfoliation; it is frequently unnecessary. The micro beads that are used in exfoliation can lead to irritation, which in turn can lead to inflammation. This is something that can result in free radical damage, which is a big part of the path to wrinkling and sagging skin.
If you have a problem with excessive oiliness, blackheads, pimples or other problems caused by dirt and grime in the pores, add a weekly or bi-weekly mask to your cleansing skin care routine. Some of the best ingredients are natural clay extracts, manuka honey (yes, again), allantoin, macadamia oil, Shea butter, natural vitamin E and Functional Keratin.
Clay is a great method to use when you are thinking about cleaning your skin. It will absorb oils from your face while pulling dirt and debris from the pores. Keep an eye out for a special New Zealand clay that will disinfect, heal blemishes and give your skin a great glow.
Be aware that the effective component in clay is called kaolin. Bentone gel is another extract that you might be interested in, and when combined with kaolin, you will discover that it is incredibly efficient.
When you want to make sure that your mask doesn’t dry out on your skin, look for macadamia oil and shea butter. This will prevent bits of the mask from getting caught in your pores and it will help you avoid the excessive scrubbing that you need to do to get the mask off.
At the end of the day, the key is to create a mask that is perfect for you and that is helping you combat the aging process. Your skin will look younger and softer once you start your cleansing regime.
