The bottom line is that women are emotional creatures and most of our emotions are lived on the surface where men often bury their emotions down deep. If you want your apology to a girlfriend to strike a chord deep within her you need to tap into your emotional side for just a little while.
Be used to acknowledging whatever she says or feels especially if that thing seems important to her. Do not show her that you care less. Instead, make her feel that you understand and in sync of whatever emotional process she is going through.
Whether you or her started the problem, you need to explain your side for her to understand. But be careful not to put too much boldness on it that will make her feel that you, in a way, blame her for it. Explain to her in a most light way, admit whatever mistake you have committed, and be ready to give a sincere apology to a girlfriend.
